Helena’s Boudoir reports from Milan Fashion Week September 2016

galleria vittorio emaunelle milan, interiorFrom September 21rst to the 27th the well known Italian designers showed us in Milan their ideas and creations for the SS2017. Milan is the heart of the Italian fashion industry, the famous Made in Italy and many legendary names have there their headquarters. Helena’s Boudoir was also there with a non stop feed on our facebook page.

The runways

We watched the shows of Gucci, Max Mara, Fendi, Prada, Versace, Blugirl, Tod’s, Emporio Armani, Giorgio Armani, Moschino, Roberto Cavalli, Emilio Pucci, Les Copains, Etro, Bottega Veneta, Dsquared2, Marni, Trussardi, Dolce & Gabbana, Missoni, Ferragamo and many others.

What made Milan fashion week special, except the spectacular clothes, was the fact that many supermodels made a powerful comeback.

Designers like Prada, Bottega Veneta and Versace went all out featuring appearances of some of the biggest names in the modelling industry including Naomi Campbell, Adriana Lima, Dutzen Kroes and Lauren Hutton, turning this fashion week into a celebration of women of all ages.

Elle and Harper’s Bazaar show us the best runway looks and Vogue selects the 8 best shows. We are not surprised seeing the big names of Versace, Prada, Gucci, Fendi and Dolce&Gabbana among them!

Street Style

Street style in Milan is always at its best. Many young models make their debut appearances in MFW’s runways and they also want to impress everyone with their off duty style.

Vogue’s famous photographer Phil Oh’ captures every aspect of Milan’s street style!

The Accessories

Italians are also pioneers in accessories, that is bags, shoes, belts, sunglasses and jewellery. Italians make and all the others copy. In Milan they established the accessories we are going to wear in SS2017.

Beauty trends

The new beauty trends for hair and makeup for SS2017 are also very impressive as presented by Allure, Popsugar and Vogue!

Milan Fashion Week February 2016 – Full Report

From February 24rd to the 29th the well known Italian designers showed us in Milan their ideas and creations for the AW2016/17. Milan is the heart of the Italian fashion industry, the famous Made in Italy and many legendary names have there their headquarters.

During these six days we watched numerous catwalks, among them the shows of Gucci, Max Mara, Fendi, Prada, Versace, Blugirl, Tod’s, Emporio Armani, Giorgio Armani, Moschino, Roberto Cavalli, Dsquared2, Trussardi, Missoni, Ferragamo and many others.

The runways

In Milan there were a lot going on during the shows. To top it all Dolce&Gabbana’s show was a fairytale scenery with Cinderella’s carriage on the runway and with the models wearing all shades of pink during the closure!
